These 8x8x3” maquette dioramas are part of a 64-piece quilt of myth-based stories. Originally the pieces were designed to be a part of a 3D chess board but as the project evolved, each 8x8 diorama took on a life of its own with its own individual story, yet connected to the others by some invisible tread creating a single 80"x80" wall sculpture.
